Hair Dying Essay -- Dying Hair Color Essays

Hair Dying As people look around the different cities of our fair country, one might notice that many people nowadays are coloring their hair to cover grey or just for the fun of it. One difference among the younger generation and the older generation is the colors that are chosen for their hair. The younger generation of this day and age seem to prefer wild colors such as Infra Red, Mystic Heather, Deadly Nightshade, Tiger Lily, etc, as self-expression compared to the older generation choosing natural shades to cover the signs of aging. This can be seen in the rising number of young people that are seen around with these types of wild colors. Not all young people choose the wild colors over natural shades because some choose the natural shades as self-expression. Not sticking to the ways of their parents, teens are showing they can be more independent. Many of us do not want to grow up to be like our parents so coloring our hair is one way to be different. In the past our parents were u sually prohibited to color their hair unless it was a natural shade suck as black or brown. Today, we are allowed to dye our hair colors such as Infra Red, AfterMidnight Blue, Pillarbox Red or even Electric Lizard Green. A website by the name of Manic Panic.com caters specifically to the needs of those who color their hair wild shades of reds, blues, purples, pinks, etc. This company was one of the world’s first creators of such colors. The site offers many colors from the spectrum of all colors. There are such colors as Green Envy, Pillarbox Red, Cotton Candy Pink, and Virgin Snow, just to name a few. The founders of the site created the hair products for others and also for their use so anyone can enjoy transforming dull or natu... ...means you are going to be a crook or anything like that. The positive evidence is that many people are making their children work hard in school before they can color their hair. Case Study: Orange Electronics Ltd. Essay

After studying this case study, we end up in the next key points: Orange Ltd is a TV producer and needs a strategy in order to maintain its market share, given that the MNCs may work as threaten due to their global financial strength and network. As the TV market has been very volatile and the customers keep on choosing what to buy considering of price value and special features of the products, Orange Ltd has to overcome the challenge of bringing new products in a very short time to the market at attractively competitive prices. The process involved in the cabinet production, which is the component responsible for the delay of the new product release is now taking 18 months. The company’s goal is to reduce this time by 4-5 months. According to the case study, the 2 different options involving process reengineering and location of component sources were considered as follows; either finished moulds sourcing or base moulds sourcing and finishing thereafter. In the first option, where the company imports ready moulds to produce the plastic cabinets, it has to consider of many parameters such as reducing the lead time, the quality of the product that is outsourced, and of course the reliability with the supplier, so that they save money in the end. In order to make this reality, Orange Ltd will have to make extended research on the market and find the appropriate supplier of moulds that produces them up to their final form. In the second option, where the company imports semi-finished moulds in their base form and, as it has the equipment of building modes, Orange Ltd will have to take into consideration the same parameters as for the first option, including the extra work the mould would want to be finished and ready for use. For both options, it is crucial for Orange Ltd to coordinate with other companies that will act as suppliers, in order to reduce the time among the release of new products. Different coordination modes between firms are required to synchronize interdependent activities, ensure visibility to match supply and demand, align actions and decision with the chain profitability, and acquire new capabilities from joint efforts. These modes help the participating members, which are here Orange Ltd and the supplier of moulds, to advance supply chain profitability by reducing lead times. In this specific case, it would be crucial for Orange Ltd to find suppliers with the appropriate know-how  within the borders of India and sign a long-term contract (which means trust between the two parts), in order to minimize the transportation costs and of course not reduce the quality of the outsourced product, which here is the mould, either finished or not.

Titanium is found in surgical implants, sunscreen, aircraft, and eyeglass frames. Here are 10 titanium facts you might find interesting and helpful: Titanium is named for the Titans of mythology. In Greek mythology, the Titans were the gods of Earth. The ruler of the Titans, Cronus, was overthrown by the younger gods, led by  his son, Zeus, ruler of the Olympian gods.The original name for titanium was  manaccanite. The metal was discovered in 1791 by  William Gregor, a pastor in a village in South Cornwall of the United Kingdom called  Manaccan. Gregor reported his finding to the  Royal Geological Society of Cornwall  and published it in the German science journal  Crells Annalen. Usually, the discoverer of an element names it, so what happened? In 1795,  German  chemist  Martin Heinrich Klaproth independently discovered the metal and named it titanium, for the Greek Titans. Klaproth learned about Gregors earlier discovery and confirmed the two elements were one and the same. He credited Gregor with the elements discovery. However, the metal  was not isolated in pure form until 1910, by  metallurgist Matth ew Hunter of  Schenectady, New York, who went with the name titanium for the element.Titanium is abundant, the ninth most abundant element in the Earths crust. It occurs naturally in the human body, in plants, in seawater, on the Moon, in meteors, and in the Sun and other stars. The element is only found bonded with other elements, not free in nature in its pure state. Most titanium on Earth is found in igneous (volcanic) rocks. Nearly every igneous rock contains titanium.Although titanium is used in many products, nearly 95% of the metal that is purified is used to make titanium dioxide, TiO2. Titanium dioxide is a white pigment used in paint, sunscreen, cosmetics, paper, toothpaste, and many other products.One of titaniums characteristics is extremely high strength to weight ratio. Although it is 60% denser than aluminum, it is more than twice as strong. Its strength is comparable to that of steel, but titanium is 45% lighter.Another notable characteristic of titanium is its hig h corrosion resistance. The resistance is so high that it is estimated titanium would only corrode to the thickness of a sheet of paper after 4,000 years in seawater!Titanium is used in medical implants and for jewelry because it is considered non-toxic and nonreactive. However, titanium actually is reactive and fine titanium shavings or dust is a fire hazard. The nonreactivity is associated with the passivation of titanium, which is where the metal forms an oxide layer on its outer surface, so the titanium  doesnt continue to react or degrade. Titanium can osseointegrate, meaning bone can grow into an implant. This makes the implant much stronger than it would be otherwise.Titanium containers may have application for the long-term storage of nuclear waste. Because of high corrosion resistance, titanium containers may last up to 100,000 years.Some 24k gold isnt actually pure gold, but rather, an alloy of gold and titanium. The 1% titanium is not enough to change the karat of the g old, yet it produces a metal that is much more durable than pure gold.Titanium is a transition metal. It has some properties commonly seen in other metals, such as high strength and melting point (3,034 degrees F or  1,668 degrees C). Unlike most other metals, it is not a particularly good conductor of heat or electricity and is not very dense. Titanium is nonmagnetic.
